- 6 bundles/box – 1500’ (457m)
Shelf Life: Not limited
Storage: Store in a cool, dry place until ready for use
Technical Data:
- Flame spread (ASTM E84): 5
- Smoke Developed (ASTM E84): 250
- Class A Rated
- Drainage Efficiency (ASTM E2273): Minimum 97.8%
Application Procedure
General—The substrate must be clean, dry, structurally sound, and free of efflorescence, oil, grease, form release agents, and curing compounds.
Job Conditions—The Air and substrate temperatures for applying the DV Roll should be within the limitations of the adhesives used in the installation.
Temporary Protection – Protect until insulation application is completed.
Installation – Apply DV Roll where required, such as at the building foundation line, window and door heads, etc. At foundations, apply over a water barrier that is lapped over the foundation at least 1” (25 mm).
Attach the DV Roll with either SuperiorShield SMP Sealant or a single-part polyurethane: Sonolastic® NP1™, Sikaflex® One-Part Polyurethane, or Tremco Vulkem Polyurethane Sealant.
Backwrap mesh may be attached through the DV Roll using nails, staples, or the adhesives listed above.
For adhesively applied EIFS, limit adhesive over the DV Roll as it may cause irregularities in the wall. Depending upon wall conditions, the insulation board may need to be routed to the backside to lessen irregularities.

Drainage Media – Drainage Vents/Spacers for Master Wall Systems
Drainage media has been used behind Master Wall® Systems for many years. The drainage media can vary from a very thin cross section material, a thicker version designed to prevent capillary action to a true ventilated wall cavity. The designs will vary and Master Wall® is available to help coordinate detailing as needed.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE
Job Conditions – Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for the application of drainage media.

Insulation Board for Continuous Insulation (CI) or Shapes
Continuous insulation is available in a number of forms for your Master Wall® project. Boards are manufactured to meet Master Wall® requirements by independent suppliers located throughout our sales regions.
For CIFS® or EIFS applications, Type I insulation is the best performing option at the lowest cost. This insulation is used in fabricating foam shapes and is a stock item at our distributors and can be custom ordered with drainage grooves if needed.
Mineral Wool insulation is the newest option in our industry. Driven by the need for high performing noncombustible CI, it insulates and protects the building in fire-sensitive environments.
Extruded insulation board is also used with CIFS® or EIFS. Specifiers appreciate the increased R-value and density of the CI. These are specially ordered materials.

Application Procedure
CASING BEAD AND CONTROL JOINT ATTACHMENT
A. Install casing beads at OCS terminations—doors, windows, back-to-back expansion joints, and other through-wall penetrations as needed to gauge OCS thickness. Attach at 6 inches (152 mm) on center into the substrate with appropriate fasteners.
B. Install expansion joints (or back-to-back casing beads) at building expansion joints, where the OCS is to be installed over dissimilar construction or substrates at changes in building height, floor lines, columns, and cantilevered areas, as shown on construction documents. Attach the center of the substrate at 6 inches (152 mm) with appropriate fasteners.
C. For lath applications, install control joints at a maximum of 144 ft2 (13.4 m2) as shown on the construction documents or clarify where needed. Install full accessory pieces where possible and avoid small pieces. Seal adjoining pieces by embedding ends in sealant. Abut horizontal into vertical joint accessories. Attach at 6-inch (178 mm) centers with appropriate fasteners on one side where framing is present or temporarily secure, then wire tie to metal lath 6-inch (178 mm) centers. One side should be wire-tied to allow for thermal movement.
METAL REINFORCEMENT ATTACHMENT
A. General–install metal lath with long dimensions at right angles to structural framing. Terminate lath at expansion and control joints. Do no install continuously beneath joints.
B. Seams/overlaps – overlap side seams a minimum of ½ inch (13 mm) and end seams a minimum of 1 inch (25 mm). Stagger end seams. Overlap casing beads and expansion joints minimum of 1 inch (25 mm) over the narrow wing accessories and 2 inches (51 mm) over expanded flange accessories.
C. For sheathing/framing applications, fasten securely through sheathing into structural framing at 6 inches (152 mm) on center maximum vertically and 16 inches on center horizontally*. Wire tie horizontal laps at 8 inches (204 mm) on center at side laps, accessory overlaps, and where end laps occur between supports. If a paper-backed lath is used, follow the installation instructions for a metal lath. Lap lath over lath, not paper to lath overlap. The paper backing must be lapped in shingle style for horizontal overlaps behind the lath-to-lath overlap.
D. For masonry/concrete lath applications, fasten securely to the substrate every 6 inches (152 mm) on center maximum vertically and 16 inches on center horizontally* with an approved fastener. Wire tie horizontal laps at 8 inches (204 mm) on center at: side laps, accessory overlaps, and where end laps occur between supports.
E. Where control joints aren’t used off interior corners, attach an additional 9″ x 12″ (23 cm x 30 cm) strip of
metal lath diagonally.
(*Note: The type of fastener selected, as well as its layout and pullout or withdrawal value from the supporting construction, must be verified and approved by the project engineer/architect concerning design wind load and local building code requirements).
