Rollershield RS Air/Water Barrier

A fluid-applied, vapor-permeable air/water-resistive barrier with low-temperature application properties for vertical, above-grade wall assemblies. Rollershield-RS is a flexible, polymer-based coating that resists water penetration and air infiltration while allowing water vapor to pass through the membrane. Applied by spray, roller or brush to approved, properly prepared substrates, Rollershield forms a continuous protective membrane behind a variety of exterior claddings.

Features & Benefits

  • Provides a continuous membrane for use behind most code-compliant exterior claddings, allowing a single barrier system to be used across multiple cladding types.
  • Suitable for projects requiring ABAA specifications and associated quality-assurance requirements.
  • Allows water vapor to pass through the membrane, helping reduce the potential for moisture accumulation within the wall assembly.
  • May remain exposed for up to 180 days before exterior cladding installation, providing greater flexibility in construction scheduling.
  • Meets low-VOC requirements in all 50 states and cleans up with water, eliminating the need for solvent- or citrus-based cleaners.
  • May be applied to frost-free substrates at temperatures as low as 25°F (-4°C), providing greater flexibility during cold-weather construction.
Rollershield Trowel Grade

Rollershield-TG is a high-quality, 100% acrylic flexible air and water barrier. It is the trowel-grade version of Rollershield and can fill large gaps or level large areas in the Rollershield LAB system application. Rollershield-TG forms a continuous air and water barrier that protects approved substrates from incidental water damage.

Features & Benefits

  • Trowel grade consistency
  • 100% Coverage
  • It doesn’t rattle in the wind
  • Vapor permeable with low air infiltration rate (12 perms)
  • Used as a water barrier and flashing
  • Compatible with Rollershield-RS, Rollershield-VB, SuperiorFlash and WeatherSTOP Tape
  • Adheres to most common building materials
  • Easy to apply, water-based for easy cleanup
    Low VOC
Rollershield VB Air/Water Barrier

Rollershield-VB is the vapor barrier version of our Rollershield liquid-applied Air/Water Barrier (LAB). It is a high-quality roll-applied flexible air and water barrier easily applied with a trowel, brush, roller, hopper gun, or airless sprayer. Rollershield-VB forms a continuous air and water barrier that protects approved substrates from incidental water damage.

Features & Benefits

  • 100% Coverage
  • Class I Vapor Retarder
  • Vapor impermeable, 0.07 perms
  • It doesn’t rattle in the wind
  • Used as a water barrier and flashing
  • Compatible with Rollershield-RS, Rollershield-TG, SuperiorFlash, and WeatherSTOP Tape (also Vapor Impermeable)
  • Adheres to most common building materials
  • Easy to apply, water-based for easy cleanup
  • Low VOC

SuperiorFlash

A gun-grade, moisture-curing flashing and waterproofing material. It cures to form a durable, seamless, elastomeric membrane and is compatible with Rollershield air/water-resistive barrier products. Its fast-curing formulation supports same day installation of windows, doors, and other wall assembly components.

Uses

SuperiorFlash is designed for use with Master Wall Rollershield air/water-resistive barrier systems to flash and waterproof window and door rough openings; treat static sheathing joints, small penetrations, and fastener heads; and detail transitions at flashing and other wall assembly components. It forms a seamless, elastomeric membrane that bonds to a wide range of common building substrates.

Features & Benefits

  • Damp-surface compatibility provides greater installation flexibility during changing job-site conditions
  • Conforms to complex penetrations and irregular conditions for easier, more complete detailing
  • Fast curing helps accelerate installation, allowing windows, doors, and other wall assembly components to be installed the same day
  • Cold-weather application capability provides greater installation flexibility during low-temperature conditions
SuperiorFabric

A non-woven, reinforced polyester fabric for use with Master Wall Rollershield fluid-applied air/water-resistive barrier coatings. Designed for reinforcing and detailing static sheathing joints, rough openings, corners, penetrations, and other transitions in vertical, above-grade wall assemblies.

USES

SuperiorFabric is designed for reinforcing static sheathing joints up to 1/4 in. (6 mm) wide; reinforcing and flashing rough openings, including window and door openings; detailing inside and outside corners; and detailing transitions between the AWRB and drainage accessories.
