Rollershield LAB – Liquid Applied Air/Water Barrier
Master Wall Inc. is pleased to reintroduce you to the new Rollershield LAB (Liquid applied Air/Water Barrier). The products are the same, but most details have been upgraded, and the interfaces with common materials are better.
Rollershield LAB may be used under most cladding materials that require a water barrier, including most Master Wall Systems that incorporate a water barrier, including Rollershield Drainage CIFS®, Cemplaster Fiberstucco, and Stucco Cement Board Coatings.
Rollershield is applied with a foam roller or spray equipment to 10 mils dry thickness, forming a continuous water barrier. Sheathing board joints and transitions are reinforced with Rollershield Flashing Tape. When keeping your building dry, you want 100% protection and can’t settle for less. Sheet water barriers have laps and gaps and are secured with fasteners and holes. At windows and doors, peel and stick flashing does not seal properly or lose bond over time. The Rollershield LAB Air/Water Barrier System is a fluid-applied secondary water barrier and flashing that offers 100% coverage with no laps, breaks, or holes. It seals the substrate and protects the building.
SuperiorShield Rollershield Products
The Rollershield LAB Liquid-applied Air/Water Barrier system works under all claddings that require a secondary water barrier, including stone, brick, stucco, and Master Wall EIFS. The system consists of the following components:
- Rollershield-RS (formerly Rollershield) is a proven roll/spray-applied air and water barrier with a 25-year track record. Vapor-permeable Rollershield-RS is the first choice in building protection.
- Rollershield-VB is the vapor barrier version of Rollershield for use on projects that require a designed-in vapor barrier with the ease of application that Rollershield-RS has.
- Rollershield-TG (formerly Trowelshield) is the trowel grade version of Rollershield with a heavier body.
- SuperiorFlash is a moisture-curing flashing material that applies without additional reinforcement and speed installation.
- Rollershield Air/Water Barrier, supplied in 5-gallon (19L) pails
- Rollershield Flashing Tape for openings and sheathing applications
